SDG7 Action Forum
ONE YEAR AFTER the groundbreaking UN High-level Dialogue on Energy that resulted in the Global Roadmap for Accelerated SDG7 Action, leaders and experts from governments, business and civil society will:
share energy action commitments and solutions towards the achievement of SDG7 and net-zero emissions; report progress on Energy Compact commitments totaling over US$ 600 billion to accelerate access and a just, inclusive energy transition; and learn the latest on trends, technologies and the impact of the global energy crisis.
UN General Assembly (UNGA)
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.
SDG Summit
The 2023 SDG Summit will take place on 18-19 September 2023 in New York. It will mark the beginning of a new phase of accelerated progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals with high-level political guidance on transformative and accelerated actions leading up to 2030. Convened by the President of the General Assembly, the Summit will mark the half-way point to the deadline set for achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. It will be the centerpiece of the High-level Week of the General Assembly.
