International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly. It aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The 2022 global observance will be held under the overarching theme "Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world."

World Toilet Day

Groundwater is invisible, but its impact is visible everywhere. This World Toilet Day is all about making the invisible visible and taking action to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6 on water and sanitation for all. The 3.6 billion people worldwide who lack access to safely managed sanitation depend on these efforts. Learn more about the day and ways to get involved. The day, commemorated on 19 November every year, is about taking action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.
